Galaxy Fraulein Yuna for the PC-FX is a very English-friendly game. But some mini-games have a few minor bumps that make it difficult to progress.

This guide does not provide complete instructions on each mini-game but instead helps with specific issues. If you want full details on the available resources and how to approach the game, check out my video.

Combat

Two sequences include combat. Most of the time, it doesn’t seem to matter too much what attack you use, but the big thing is stopping the center meter when the bar is almost full. Your ability to defend against attacks also seems to depend on this bar.

What’s most likely to trip you up is dealing the final blow, as the bosses will enter a state of invulnerability. When this happens, the player needs to their Energy meter (Marked with E on the right side of the screen) above the half way point. Once they have enough energy, a single attack will be available as a scripted event to finish off the boss.

How you build this meter is by using a melee attack or the block action. However the boss can drain your energy as well.

Slot Machine Dress Up

This mini-game has the player lining up icons to dress up Yuna and Yuri to go to school. You’ll need to re-roll that clothing slot if you get the wrong outfit. The game doesn’t give you much information on what these outfits should be, either. Unfortunately, there’s no easy trick to landing on the icons beyond just good timing. However, to help you not waste time, here are the shirts, shoes, and accessories you will need to create to progress

Memorization Game

Unfortunately, the AI opponent is ruthless in this game, making it very hard to complete. My recommendation is to cheat. I made a google document to help with this, where you can drag the faces onto the panels. Use the Make a copy option under the File menu to get editing privileges so you can move the faces. I do not recommend using this on mobile.

And the rest of the game should be pretty straightforward! Again, feel free to watch my video if you want more information. I’m also open to answering questions on Twitter.
