O hai! Welcome to the 201st post on Oculin’s Box! That’s right, I’ve finally made over 200 pieces of content over the last three years. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing… But considering for a good period of time I wasn’t full force into creating original content and reviews, I think the number is alright.
VGCharts gamrFeed has definitely played a huge role in upping my output in recent months. Now, I officially have more editorials than reviews. That’s a first in my writing career, as I always had some level of focus on reviews, until recently. Although, I’d like to get back into reviews.
Also to be noted is that I’ve written close to 2,500 stories between TheSpeedGamers and Defualt Prime. As of right now, I’m not covering any news, so that’s a number that’s been staying fairly steady over the last few months. But who knows, maybe I’ll be able to do more in the near future.
You know, despite how intent I seem on being in gaming journalism, I sort of just kind of stumbled into it by writing some reviews here and there. Then I did some live blogs and BAM, I got job offers from TheSpeedGamers and Default Prime nearly back to back.
I was just kind of reflecting a bit on the past and looking at THE NUMBERS and saying “oh, I wrote some stuff.” So, here’s a post for that. Hopefully I live to do 1,000 posts.
