The Star Fox series chases the experience that both the original and Star Fox 64 gave players back in the 90s. Namco attempted to move the series forward with Star Fox: Assault. While what they created wasn’t some amazing masterpiece that would be revered for decades, they did attempt to fully realize the Star Fox multi-tier experience. Players not only take on missions where they pilot the Arwing, Landmaster and go on foot, but also frequently are tasked with switching between the three on a single map.
