While somewhat dated today, compared to past systems the 360 and PS3 both pack quite a punch in terms of performance. Titles these days look better than ever, but on occasion developers desire more out of their titles. Using improved models for cutscenes are common place, but the trouble comes from when developers start mixing and matching these different models in certain scenes to wring out every last bit from the hardware. And if not handled carefully, can rip the player right out of the experience.
