For some reason, I couldn’t learn my lesson about PlayStation Dragon Ball Z games. I got Ultimate Battle 22 despite already suffering through Final Bout. I mean, I even played this game quite a bit in a store before I actually bought it.

This is just the perfect example of a child falling into the pit of licensed games. It doesn’t matter what it is. It’s DBZ! It’s gold!

The character selection is kind of nice? It some of the more B-tier characters like Zarbon, Saiyaman (shh not Gohan) and Android 16.

I don’t really have much to say about this game. It’s slow, stiff and awkward just like Dragon Ball Z: Final Bout, except this time the characters are 2D instead of 3D. The intro is less exciting as well. The characters just kind of stand about, or shoot energy beams at the screen.

Weird fact about this game, it was released in 1995 in Japan, however it didn’t come out in America until 2003.
