In recent years, Tokyo Game Show has largely been considered to be on a down-slide in terms of relevance. The most obvious reason for this is a general lack of interest in Japanese development by many gamers. Most Game of the Year material now comes from Western developers. It doesn’t help that Europe, North America, and other Asian regions are becoming even larger portions of the market. But Tokyo Game Show may see some exciting news this year around, specifically in that of handhelds.
